My only critique, they have the worst quality of toilet paper. sounds funny I know but it is true. Go the extra mile and purchase higher quality toilet paper. It was worse paper than the public school system.

that they list a spa as an amenity. Well there is no spa. The a s 1.5 miles away and you have to pay for it.
I never book a hotel that doesn't have one of the following at least: Steam room, sauna, jacuzzi. If you keep reading it mentions it somewhere. But I didn't look further when i booked it. Didn't realize this until the day I was staying. July 2nd. Way too late to cancel.. I was with my Autistic son, and was not going to drive off the property and leave him. The whole time I was in the pool, I was wishing for a hot tub, or something to relax me.

Great location, spacious rooms, welcoming atmosphere. You feel like home there. The staff goes above and beyond starting from the reception. Sem (the intern from Norwegian) greeted us with the smile, and made our day accommodating our needs. We spent just one night there, but definitely will come back.

We had a nice stay. Loved our room with a view of the ocean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable along with the layout of the room. The pool was the best since it was warm and kept up.

Hotel staff didn’t do anything about 2 other guests that assaulted us verbally and threw our belongings to the sand while we were using the hotel beach chairs because they had lost a pair of shoes. We didn’t feel safe after this incident and requested hotel staff to either ask these aggressive guests to leave hotel or to let us out of our reservation. They refused to do anything. This ruined our 38th anniversary for my wife and I as we were shaken by this experience.

This place was awesome the front desk associate was extremely helpful as we just had a string of unfortunate events happen at the airport. The drinks at the bar were great and the food at breakfast was delicious.

Very poor management. The lady who helped us at check in gave us a $25.00 voucher / credit to be used for food or beverage on property. Something we did not expect or ask for. For that reason we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant the following morning. When we checked the bill the credit was not applied so my wife contacted the front desk and they said they would take care of it. A few minutes later a "manager" called us back and told us that since we booked through Travelzoo the credit did not apply to us. Really? The audacity for someone in a management position to not just absorb the $25.00 mistake that their employee made was shocking. I told them to keep the $25.00 and hung up. Train your employees better and if they make a mistake thats part of running a business. I think this situation gives you a bit of a glimpse into the bigger picture of how this place is run.

We were caught out in Hurricane Milton unable to get to Ft Lauderdale (stuck on the Sun Princess off coast of Cuba). We tried to notify Travelzoo and it was unclear if the note went through about 48 hours before our stay when the capt. told us we were not docking. We then wrote immediately to Sonesta to let them know asap so that they might sell our room. The did not respond and when we called when we could, they told us we were out of luck. There ought to be a hurricane exception to a 72 hour cancellation window as no one knew how bad it would get how quickly. We were not offered a future stay or even clearly told if we were going to be paying for one or 2 nights. This has put me off the Sonesta brand completely.

We loved the customer service and the location of the beach. However, we did not receive welcome drinks and we were very unclear about the $10 Food & Beverage credit per stay… it wasn’t reflected on our bill. The restaurant staff was very friendly and the food was delicious.

The hotel looks nice and my room was clean. It’s too bad the front desk and valet didn’t match the decor and ambiance.

I was very surprised by the lack of customer service. I received half way decent service as I was checking out. When I arrived the valet was rude and moved my car far away from the door and didn’t offer assistance. When o was checking in I asked the receptionist why the hotel needed my full home address, he was visibly annoyed with my question and only offered me an explanation of “we ask for it in case a guest leaves something behind”. I didn’t and still do not think that’s a good response as I have never been asked to provide that information at any hot I’ve ever stayed. I believe he was even more annoyed because he put in a room right outside the ice machine and I think that was on purpose because I checked in after 2:30 pm and I’m certain there were other clean rooms. I also booked an ocean view and that room had a partial view. For the sake of retaliation, I did not go back down and complain. I will never book there again and will advise others to avoid the hotel. Customer service is everything. The pool was closed and the weather was crappy. The least people can get is good service. By the way, the woman ahead of me checking out so had a complaint I believe about the service she received regarding the microwave not working (I think it was a community microwave located in the lobby).

The hotel was very nice but the location wasn’t exceptional except for being across the beach.
There was not a great choice of good restaurants nearby which really surprised us. We ended up going to an Irish bar grill which was decent.
My one complaint is that I wasn’t able to use the chair on the beach as they stopped this service at 5 pm!!! In South Florida in the summer locals don’t usually go the beach before that time, at least I don’t.
The breakfast was good but there was only one server and it was busy. Considering how busy he was, he did a great job.
We wanted to try an hotel by the beach in Fort Lauderdale but I think we’ll stick with Miami South Beach where we’re never disappointed

Overall a nice stay at the hotel. Very conveniently located across from a nice beach. Room was a like a fridge when we arrive. The thermostat did not seem responsive at all. The safe would not work and I requested the ac and safe be fixed twice, but over two days, it did not get done. That was disappointing. Other than that, staff was very friendly. The pool area is nice and the hotel
