Escape to a 17th-century property in the heart of the Cotswolds for £79. This deal from the Grapevine Hotel in Stow-on-the-Wold includes overnight accommodation for two in a Classic Room, a full English breakfast and a bottle of wine, and saves £49 on the regular price.
The property, praised by Frommer's for its mix of "urban sophistication" and "rural charm", is within 10 miles of the Cotswold market towns of Chipping Norton and Moreton-in-Marsh. Stow-on-the-Wold itself is a quintessential Cotswolds destination, full of "lovely old bookshops, delicious architecture, good food shops and decent places to eat", says The Guardian.
The Grapevine features honey-hued Cotswold stone walls and wooden beams, and takes its name from the 150-year-old vine that trails over the restaurant. A 3-course meal can be added for £30 per person (normally £35 per person).
The deal is valid for Sunday-Thursday stays from 6 October to 31 March, 2014. Upgrade to a Superior Room for an extra £20, or to a Premium Room for £40. The deal can also be purchased as a gift voucher.
The following dates are not available: 24-31 December, 14 February, 11-14 March.
