A 2-night stay at an award-winning Lake District property is now £139 per person. This deal from Rothay Manor Hotel at the northern tip of Lake Windermere saves 46% on the usual rate and includes:
The Regency-style country house hotel sits on the outskirts of the village of Ambleside, in the heart of the Lake District, a 10-minute walk from Lake Windermere. Local attractions include Zeffirellis, an independent cinema and jazz bar, and Stock Ghyll Force, a 70-foot waterfall that once powered 12 local watermills.
Built in 1823, the hotel has been owned and operated by the Nixon family for 46 years and is described by The Guardian as "the sort of house Jane Austen might have had in mind when writing about the elegant families of the pre-Victorian era".
Meals are served downstairs in the AA-Rosette-awarded restaurant, overlooking the gardens. Rothay Manor has been listed in the The Good Hotel Guide for 35 years, one of only four hotels to be listed every year since the guide was published -- an accomplishment for which it was recently awarded a Good Hotel Guide Gold Award.
This deal is available for stays seven days a week from 27 January-23 February. It’s an extra £10 to stay from 1-28 March.

Not available on 8, 22, 24-28 February; 2-7, 10-14, 17-23 March.
Travelzoo tip: Rydal Mount -- the home of William Wordsworth from 1813 until his death in 1850 -- is an 8-minute drive from the hotel. This deal is also valid on Valentine's Day, but we expect these rooms to sell fast.
