Great Little Breaks has cut the price of a two-night escape to the historic market town of Hay-on-Wye by £89. Now costing £112.50 per person, this deal includes:

  • Accommodation in a Superior Room at The Swan at Hay Hotel
  • 6-course taster menu on your first night (worth £120)
  • Full Welsh breakfast each morning
  • Bottle of champagne on arrival (worth £49)

The Swan at Hay Hotel is a Grade II-listed former Georgian coaching inn in the Welsh town of Hay-on-Wye, at the foot of the Brecon Beacons -- on the England-Wales border.

Bedrooms are traditional in decor style, and all come equipped with flat-screen TVs and DVD players. The hotel's head chef trained in France and uses classic French training to create delicious dishes using locally-sourced ingredients. Main course choices include chicken chasseur and porc boulangere, as well as classic Herefordshire beef. The Welsh cooked breakfast is served between 8am-9.30am in the dining room.

The Swan's location between the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, is ideal for walkers and convenient for visitors exploring the area. Wi-Fi access is free to all guests. Hay-on-Wye is widely known as "the town of books", being famous for having no fewer than 38 bookshops.

This deal is valid for stays seven days a week, until 31 March, 2013.
