Take advantage of the sunshine with a getaway to one of Britain’s favourite stretches of coastline this summer – rooms at Bournemouth’s award-winning Art Deco Cumberland Hotel are now £79 per night.
Valid Sunday-Friday from 27 May-26 July and 3 September-27 October, this deal includes an overnight stay for two, full English breakfast and a glass of buck's fizz on arrival. Upgrade to a Sea View room for an extra £50.
The Cumberland Hotel scooped the Best Value for Money gong at the National Hotel Excellence Awards in 2011, with judges noting "how the hotel goes the extra mile to leave customers feeling it was worth every penny", and the Best Large Hotel award in 2009 from the Bournemouth Tourism Board. Dating back to the 1930s, it is the only purpose-built Art Deco Hotel in Bournemouth and is regarded by the AA as the highest-rated 3-star in the area.
On-site facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, free Wi-Fi and the AA-Rosette Ventana Brasserie and Bar. Bournemouth won the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award for Best UK Beach Destination in 2012 and is within easy reach of the New Forest and the Jurassic Coastline (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), yet only two hours' drive from London.
Saturday-night stays incur a £50-per-room supplement. Stay for two nights with a 3-course dinner on the first night (worth £26.95 per person) for £79 per person (or £158 per room in total).
Not available on 2-4, 18-21, 24-25 June.
