Luxury Travel Magazine lists the ultra-luxurious Taj Palace Marrakesh as one of the World's Best 5-Star City Hotels, while Travel + Leisure calls it one of the Best New Hotels of 2013. It's no wonder, then, that this deal seems almost too good to be true -- but we've checked, and it really is £399 per person.
The treat-filled package could cost up to £430 more if you put it together yourself. It includes:
The hotel opened to the public in January this year, after its opulent bedrooms appeared in "Sex and the City 2". Set in the exclusive Palmeraie region of Marrakesh, across 55 hectares of landscaped gardens, it is overlooked by the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and surrounded by palm trees and olive groves.
The Independent describes the Taj as "a marvel of modern luxury in Marrakesh" and Travel + Leisure agrees: "Its sheer grandeur raises the bar for a city already gifted with impressive hotels". Look out for "Swarovski-bedazzled curtains, Indian textiles, a mint's worth of gold leaf and hundreds of antique Berber rugs".
Bedrooms are spread over the main palace -- described by Conde Nast Traveller as "splendid" -- and four traditional riads. Each has a separate dressing room, a terrace, a flat-screen TV and an espresso coffee machine. Luxurious touches include a pillow menu, turndown service and the services of a personal butler.
There are six restaurants and bars, ranging from a pan-Asian restaurant with a show kitchen to the Bombay Club, which has an extensive cognac and cigar menu. The hotel also has a spa with 14 treatment rooms, two hammams, a yoga temple and Moroccan treatments.
Depart on select dates from 13 November-25 March, 2014. Travel in October for an extra £100 per person. Click here for more information and a full list of departure dates.
Checked luggage is not included and costs from £40 per person extra.
A local tax of £3 per person, per day, is payable directly to the hotel.
