Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has knocked a sizeable 40% off a cruise around the Canaries this July. For £899 per person, you get a 15-night sailing on Black Watch with all meals and snacks.
The cruise starts in Newcastle on 30 July. From there, Black Watch will sail to La Coruña in Spain, following two days at sea. Next, the ship visits Santa Cruz (La Palma), Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and Arrecife (Lanzarote) in the Canary Islands, before heading to Lisbon, the Portuguese city described by Frommer's as "one of Europe's most visually striking capitals". The cruise finishes back in Newcastle.
The price is based on two sharing a 2-bedded Cabin. Guarantee an Outside Cabin for extra £50 per person or a Superior Outside Cabins for an extra £125 per person.
Dining options on Fred. Olsen Cruise Line's Black Watch include the spacious Glentanar Restaurant, the Orchid Room and the more casual Braemar Garden Café. Lounges include the nautically themed Lido Lounge and The Observatory. Other facilities include the Neptune Lounge, which hosts regular shows and cabaret acts, a small cinema, two swimming pools, a tennis court and a fitness centre. There is also plenty of space on deck for strolling.
