A mini break in a 17th-century fortress on Portugal's dramatic Lisbon coast -- for £199 per person, this luxury package really is a cut above the rest. Stay in a Relais & Châteaux hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant and save £300 on the usual price.
The offer includes:
"If you want to impress, visit Fortaleza do Guincho, 15 minutes along the coast from Lisbon in posh Cascais," says TNT Magazine. The hotel, which won a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence last year, overlooks Guincho beach, the Atlantic Ocean and Cabo da Rocha, the most westerly point of mainland Europe.
Its fine-dining restaurant serves traditional Portuguese cuisine with a French twist using local ingredients, and there's an 800-strong wine list. Drinks are also served in the bar, which is spread over three rooms, including the library. Superior Rooms have private balconies with sea views and a chaise longue.
The UNESCO Word Heritage Site of Sintra, which is dotted with castles and tiny villages, is a scenic 20-minute drive from the hotel through the mountains. Cascais, "an appealing old town full of narrow, winding lanes" according to Lonely Planet, is five miles away.
