The tour kicks off in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city and home to a vibrant mix of skyscrapers and pagodas. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Ben Thanh market where you'll be able to buy souvenirs, haggle over local handicrafts and eat traditional Vietnamese street food such as banh mi and hoa hanh (a thick soup with mushrooms).
Next up is "Vietnam's most atmospheric and delightful town" (Lonely Planet), Hoi An. Explore the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, chill out on Cua Dai beach, have a tailored suit made or hire a bicycle and explore at your own pace.
Then it's an overnight train to Hanoi. The train journey, in a first-class sleeper cabin, runs along a breathtaking stretch of country with views of rural Vietnam -- watch as rice paddies, water buffalo and villages woosh past -- as well as the South China Sea and the Ocean Cloud Pass through the Annamese Mountains.
Once in Hanoi, you'll take a guided tour of the city as well as a full-day cruise of Halong Bay with a free lunch and bottle of wine, before flying home.
