The Deal

AA-Rosette-awarded Dorrells Restaurant within Hadley Park House is an "attractive" (AA Hotel Guide) conservatory-style dining room that has been relaunched with a new name as part of a £1.5 million redevelopment project.

For £65, Travelzoo subscribers can enjoy a 6-course Taste of Shropshire dinner and a glass of prosecco -- a gourmet experience that would usually cost up to £129.

Here are some highlights from the locally sourced, British-themed menu that has been exclusively crafted for Travelzoo:

- Amuse-bouches 
- Any two starters from the à la carte menu, such as seared scallops with pea mousse and crispy Buttercross Farm pancetta, or horseradish cured salmon with herb salad and Dijon dressing
- Two champagne sorbets
- Any two main coures from the à la carte menu, such as roast lamb rump with seared lamb liver, dauphinoise potatoes and balsamic onions, or leek, potato and Wrekin Blue pie served with roast butternut squash, thyme and sun-blushed tomato
- Two side dishes, such as sautéed broccoli with roasted red pepper and almond, mixed vegetables, or hand-cut chunky chips
- Two British cheese plates (including four cheeses each)
- Any two desserts from the à la carte menu, such as Hadley Park summer pudding with Pimm's jelly or Valrhona dark chocolate tart served with a Baileys milkshake

This elegant Georgian manor dates back to the 18th century and is surrounded by three acres of private grounds.

Hadley Park ran a Name the Restaurant competition late in 2010 and early 2011, and out of thousands of suggestions, the new name Dorrells was picked after the family who lived at the once private property from 1901 to 1941.
