The Deal

Tackle the River Tay’s rapids with a half-day rafting experience with Splash White Water Rafting for £20. This adrenalin-filled experience usually costs £40, so you save 50% on the regular price.

The river is about six miles long and starts from the old market town of Aberfeldy. All equipment is provided and there is an experienced guide for each raft who will give you a safety briefing before you hit the water.

At first, the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. It then drops away, creating challenging rapids that you ride down to the final hurdle -- The Grandtully Rapid.

Once you have completed your trip, you will receive photographs documenting your rafting experience.

This deal can be used at either 9:30am or 1pm and each half-day trip lasts between three and four hours, depending on how fast the river is flowing.

For true adrenalin junkies, we have also negotiated a full-day experience for £45. You can spend half a day white water rafting and the other half river bugging (a 1-person raft that resembles a giant inflatable armchair).

Both deals can be used on Monday, Wednesday and Friday-Sunday -- weather dependent. Transport from the Splash White Water Rafting base to the river is included.

Advanced booking is required. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies; failure to turn up leads to forfeiture. The experience is not advisable for those with back/neck problems or pregnant women, and is weather dependent. If you are unsure please call before leaving home.
