The Deal

The Inn at Hawnby in the North York Moors is "a welcoming village inn" renowned for its "gutsy, crowd-pleasing" and "honest cooking", according to The AA Restaurant Guide 2013. Two Travelzoo subscribers can now spend a night at this country bolthole for £99 per room -- a saving of 40% on the usual rate.

Valid Tuesday-Thursday and Sundays until 14 February and 17 February-14 April, this deal includes overnight accommodation, breakfast and 3-course à la carte dinner (worth £68)*. Guests will also receive a decanter of sherry. Extra nights on a bed-and-breakfast basis can be purchased as a voucher for £65 per room, per night.

For £249 per room, guests can stay on Valentine's weekend (15-16 February) and get two night's accommodation, daily breakfast, 3-course à la carte meal (worth £68) on the Friday and 5-course dinner with petit fours (worth £120) on the Saturday.

The Victorian inn is a 15-minute drive from the medieval ruins of Rievaulx Abbey, Helmsley castle and the baroque mansion of Duncombe Park.

The AA-Rosette-awarded and Michelin Guide-listed restaurant has views of the gardens and serves main dishes such as butter-roasted cod with scallops and chorizo, roast rump of lamb with tapenade and shin of beef stew with osso bucco garnish.
