The Small Print

Update (22 August, 2011): Travelzoo subscribers who wish to book tee times on Monday, 29 August, must do so before 1:30pm. This voucher is valid for 18 holes of golf for two people, including 25 balls on the driving range and coffees for two. Valid for use anytime Monday-Friday and Saturday-Sunday from 1:30pm, from Friday, 10 June, until 31 October, 2011. Subject to availability. Advance booking is required. There is no limit to the number of vouchers that can be purchased per person. Additional vouchers may be purchased for others as gifts. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Each voucher is valid for two people and must be used in one visit.

The Deal

Located within a "serene setting" in 250 acres of "spectacular rolling parkland" (Today's Golfer) overlooking Surrey's North Downs, Selsdon Park Hotel & Golf Club was designed by 5-time Open champion J.H. Taylor in 1929 and has previously hosted PGA EuroPro Tour events.

For just £30, two Travelzoo subscribers can enjoy a round any day of the week until October. The deal also includes coffees in the clubhouse, plus 25 balls each on the driving range, and would usually cost up to £81.

The course, designed to USGA specification, is set within the private grounds of Selsdon Park Hotel, an elegant 19th-century mansion. It features elevated greens and fairways lined with silver birch and cider trees.

Where2Golf.com advises that "accuracy rather than power hitting is the key to scoring well on one or two of the short par-4s", while GolfToday.co.uk says: "A testing course for golfers with both high and low handicaps. A great variety of holes means that accurate club selection is crucial.”
