The Deal

Set inside Chetwynd House, which formerly housed Stafford's post office, The Post House has now become an "opulent" dining venue (Express and Star). Two people can now get a two-course meal from the bistro menu, plus wine, for £25 at the Grade II-listed eaterie.

This offer can be taken up in The Post House's Bistro for lunch, or the Pillar Restaurant for dinner. Both are set within the 18th-century building, which underwent a dramatic refurbishment late in 2011.

With a regular pricetag of up to £60.20, here's an idea of what you can expect from this dining package:

- Any starter each, such as grilled asparagus with herb crusted poached egg and hollandaise sauce, or shredded confit duck with chopped spring onion, granary toast and chutney
- Any main course each, with options including the 8oz fillet steak with homemade chunky chips and a choice of sauce, or king prawn spaghetti dressed in garlic butter and herbs, with a sweet chilli sauce

You'll also get a glass of Col di Sotto Rosso or a white wine equivalent each.

The Post House, which is located about 20 minutes away from Stoke-on-Trent and 45 minutes from Birmingham, is offering this deal from Sunday-Thursday until 26 November.
