The location & Staff.

Shaver point in Bathroom over loo.

Everything! We were in the smallest room but it was still light, airy and very clean. We had been worried about noise as we were right over the bar area but it was very quiet. The location is beautiful, in a lovely village surrounded by countryside and Sherbourne is a lovely town. The food in the restaurant is well presented and delicious and the bar food is just as good (the best scotch eggs with chorizo). Service is very efficient and the staff can't do enough for you. We will definitely be back.

I can't think of anything, just perfect, well done

Good location, good ambiance. Food moderate (6/10).

Kept awake on 1st night by 6 others leaving 02.30 - 05.15 hrs, from adjacent rooms including car engines running outside unnecessarily. DVD player did not work. Owner knew of these 2 as we told him but no refund offered. Hairdrier did not have a nozzle hood - risk of burns to hands - this should have been checked and replaced by room service staff. 45 minute wait between starter and main course on 2nd night. Young inexperienced staff with unhygenic practices - carrying 2 glasses in 1 hand around the neck. Definite decline in standards since previous owners. No worthy of AA etc. accolades. My wife is a chef (retired) and we live 12 miles away. Better 'gastropubs' in the area.
