Run by top trainee chefs, Aspire Restaurant and Brasserie at City College has been hailed as Southampton's "equivalent to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen" by local magazine, Compass. With this exclusive half-price offer, two people can tuck in to a 3-course dinner and large glass of wine for £29.

The menu has been created by chef to the stars, Nigel Popperwell and your meal will be prepared by the top chefs of tomorrow.

Worth up to £59 and available on Friday and Saturday nights, this deal for two includes:

- A glass of house wine each
- Any two starters such as ham hock terrine or grilled goats' cheese with red onion marmalade
- Any two main courses such as sea bass fillet served with saffron potatoes, or slow-roasted pork belly with potato cake and parsnip
- Any two desserts such as dark chocolate truffle torte or orange bread and butter pudding

After their visit, Compass magazine praised the restaurant's "impressive standard" of dishes and said that "the food exudes exuberance".

Aspire is where renowned chef and star of BBC's "Great British Menu" Paul Ainsworth trained before working with Gordon Ramsay and Gary Rhodes.

The restaurant sits between Oxford Street and St Mary's Stadium.
