The Silk Glove Restaurant is a brand new fine-dining venue, set inside a 13th-century coaching inn in Woodstock with acclaimed chef, Matt Weedon (former head chef of the Michelin-starred Lords of the Manor) at its helm.
With this exclusive offer, two people can be among the first to dine on a 6-course tasting menu-dinner for the equivalent of £39.50 each. This gourmet experience for two would normally cost £120.
The tasting menu changes seasonally but currently includes:
- Appetiser
- Blenheim Estate wood pigeon, salt baked beetroot, sherry vinegar, pork belly pastilla and beetroot and pigeon consommé
- Ravioli of native lobster, pear, lobster and vanilla bisque
- English rose loin of veal with caramelised sweetbread, potato mousseline, autumn chanterelles and Madeira veal jus
- Pre-dessert such as a pina colada with hibiscus and coconut
- Prune and Armagnac soufflé, Earl Grey tea, prune and Armagnac ice cream
Head chef Matt Weedon previously worked at Alan Murchison's L'ortolan restaurant before being joining Lords of the Manor, where he earned a Michelin star for the restaurant every year since 2009.
