The Small Print

Valid for one person to take part in a 2.5-hour French macaron baking class. Must be used in one visit. Valid Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays until 24 November, subject to availability. Reservations required. There is no limit to the number of vouchers that can be purchased per person. Additional vouchers may be purchased as gifts. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back.

The Deal

Celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver and Lorraine Pascale have declared themselves fans of the French macaron, and now Travelzoo subscribers can learn how to create the meringue-based treats for £29 instead of the usual £99.

You'll also get to take home as many macarons as you can make during this 2.5-hour workshop from Confetti & Spice.

Refreshments will be provided throughout the course, and you'll learn the following techniques:

- How to create meringue from scratch
- How to mix the almonds and produce the macaron fillings
- Details about moisture levels, baking times and how to decorate and hand-paint your treats

The Metro has noted the "sweet sophistication" of the mini meringues, while the trend has been hailed as "the new cupcake" by everyone from Jamie Oliver to Fox News.

This course is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12:30pm and 4:30pm until 24 November.
