The Deal

Once owned by children's author Beatrix Potter, the Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere has put together an exclusive package for £159 per room. This deal -- worth £321 -- includes:

- Accommodation for two in a Superior Room (regularly £170+)
- 5-course dinner in the 2-AA-Rosette restaurant (worth £89)
- Afternoon tea with bubbly in the lounge on arrival (worth £31.80)
- Full English breakfast for two (worth £29.90)

Described as "seamlessly elegant" by The Daily Telegraph, this AA 4-star hotel provides easy access to the Cumbrian fells and Lake District countryside. Facilities include a pool, a sauna, a fitness room and the 2-AA-Rosette restaurant.

According to The Guardian, the Beatrix Potter connection is "celebrated in small, tasteful reminders, such as photographs of her around the hotel and an embroidered motif of Timmy Tiptoes on the fluffy bathrobes".

This offer is valid for stays until 31 May. Friday nights are an extra £20 per room; Saturday nights are an extra £25 per room (payable to the hotel on booking). Stay on Good Friday (29 March) for an extra £40 per room.

Additional nights are available for half price at £100 on a B&B basis.
