The Deal

For £29, two people can play 18 holes of golf on the George Washington Golf Club's championship course -- a saving of up to 59% on the regular price of up to £70.

This deal allows two Travelzoo subscribers to play on the course any day of the week until 13 October.

Part of the Mercure Newcastle George Washington Hotel Golf and Spa, the 6,625 yard course features tree-lined, wide fairways and multiple water hazards. It has also been chosen as one of the hosts for the North East 2012 Masters series 2012.

With a par of 73, the course also has a modern clubhouse, a 20-bay flood lit driving range and a pro shop on site.
