The Deal

Get up close to some of the world's most magnificent birds of prey on a half-day falconry and red kite experience at Raptor Experience Wales, for £25 instead of the usual £100.

This hands-on encounter allows you to admire and learn about these remarkable creatures, with displays and insight from experienced experts.

Discover the history of the sanctuary's captive breed and once-endangered red kite before handling the rare bird yourself. Then, take a scenic walk through the surrounding hills, where you will watch this beautiful bird in its natural environment.

There's also a good chance you will see buzzards, peregrine falcons, goshawks and sparrowhawks.

Afterwards, you'll meet, handle and fly hawks, falcons and owls, and learn about their personalities and behaviour in the wild.

There will also be the opportunity to take photographs, with a chance to get pictures of you handling the birds.

Suitable for over-16s, this 3-hour deal is available daily, and refreshments are provided throughout the day.
