The Deal

Take part in a 3-hour beginners' photography course at The Limelite Studio in central Manchester for £19 and save a massive 81% on the usual price of £99.

The course, which is half theory-based and half practical photography, will teach you how to get the most from your DSLR camera (which you must bring along to the class), and includes tips on how to compose your subjects for still-life and portrait photography.

You'll also get a rundown of the camera's manual controls, as well as hints and tips regarding exposure and studio lighting.

Classes are led by Dan Tyack, who has 10 years' experience as a professional photographer. He specialises in weddings and portrait photography and has had work published in both magazines and books.

These studio workshops take place on Swan Street in Manchester's trendy Northern Quarter. They are available 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm, Monday-Saturday, until 21 November.
