The Deal

The 5-star Threadneedles Hotel is home to Bonds Restaurant & Bar, a "beautiful and grand" former banking hall in the City (Harden's UK Restaurant Guide 2013). This 2-AA-Rosette-awarded eatery is noted in The AA Restaurant Guide 2013 for its "well-crafted" cuisine.

For £59, two Travelzoo subscribers can dine on a 3-course gourmet dinner served with champagne, and prepared by executive chef Stephen Smith, whose "technical, modern cooking is the main attraction", according to The AA Restaurant Guide 2013.

In full, you get:

- A glass of champagne each
- Any starter from the à la carte menu. Choose from options including Scottish salmon and smoked mackerel terrine, or foie gras parfait and toasted brioche
- A main course from the à la carte menu* such as braised ox cheek bourguignon with wilted spinach and truffle and parsley mash, or roast Cornish pollock
- A dessert from the à la carte menu**. Choose from pecan and cranberry tart or Bonds Christmas pudding

Time Out describes the dining room at Bonds as "comfortable and opulent" and the menu "delightful", awarding it 4/5 stars. The 5-star boutique hotel was recently given a Travellers' Choice Award (in the Luxury Hotel's category) by TripAdvisor.com.
