"Singin' in the Rain" is "blissfully funny", says The Daily Telegraph, which recently gave this hit West End musical five out of five stars. Travelzoo has secured an exclusive offer for top tickets -- for £41.45, nab a seat for any performance Monday to Saturday at the Palace Theatre, and save up to £25.55 on the usual price. What's more, there are no additional fees.
Based on the 1952 MGM movie starring Gene Kelly, "Singin' in the Rain" was nominated for four Olivier Awards this year, including Best Musical Revival and Best Actress in a Musical for Scarlett Strallen, who plays aspiring movie star Kathy Seldon. The story takes place in Hollywood's glamorous silent screen era, and features the unforgettable show tunes "Singin' in the Rain", "Good Morning", "Make 'Em Laugh" and "Moses Supposes".
The set design includes over 14,000 litres of water, which pour down on to the stage during some of the musical numbers, including main character Don Lockwood's rendition of the title track. We've seen this show and loved it, but be warned -- if you sit in the first few rows of the Stalls, you may get splashed!
This exclusive offer is for a top-price seat in the Stalls or Dress Circle for any performance up to and including Saturday, 1 September. Usually, these cost £62 midweek and £67 for weekend shows, inclusive of booking fees. The offer price of £41.45 already includes a per-ticket charge of £1.95.
"Singin' in the Rain" has been showered with praise since it debuted in the West End earlier in 2012:
"The cast is terrific... This is a night of sheer delight" -- The Daily Telegraph
"Rapturously enjoyable" -- The Independent
"Technically assured, hugely accomplished... It's a highly polished show" -- The Guardian
