The Deal

The Waggon at Birtle serves up "gutsy, Brit-influenced dishes," according to The Good Food Guide 2012. Now, two Travelzoo subscribers can enjoy a 5-course tasting menu each with champagne or a kir royale cocktail for £55 -- saving up to half the usual price.

A former pub, the Bury venue is also listed in the Michelin Guide, which praises the "pleasantly decorated" eatery.

During your visit, you'll be treated to all of the following tasting courses each:

-Tempura of haddock with prawn, fennel, samphire and tartare sauce
-Chadwick's Bury black pudding potato cake with apple, mustard and micro cresses
-Salad of crab with ginger, spring onions, honey, chilli, soy and bean sprouts
-Roasted rump of beef with corned beef hash, shallots in red wine and baby carrots
-Trio of the chef's miniature desserts

Coffee and fudge will then be served to round off the meal.
