The Small Print

This voucher is valid for one night's stay in a Superior Room for two adults, with full English breakfast, 5-course à la carte dinner in the 2-AA-Rosette restaurant and afternoon tea with bubbly on arrival. Vouchers are valid for stays until 10 February, 2013. Friday nights are an extra £20 per room; Saturday nights are an extra £25 per room (payable to the hotel on booking). The Deal

Once owned by children's author Beatrix Potter, Lindeth Howe Country House Hotel in Bowness-on-Windermere has put together an exclusive package for £159 per room. This deal -- worth £321 -- includes:

- Accommodation for two in a Superior Room (regularly £170+)
- 5-course à la carte dinner in the 2-AA-Rosette restaurant (worth £89)
- Afternoon tea with bubbly in the lounge on arrival (worth £31.80)
- Full English breakfast for two (worth £29.90)

"Seamlessly elegant," according to The Daily Telegraph, this AA 4-star hotel provides easy access to the Cumbrian fells and Lake District countryside. Facilities include a pool, a sauna, a fitness room and the 2-AA-Rosette restaurant.

According to The Guardian, the Beatrix Potter connection is "celebrated in small, tasteful reminders, such as photographs of her around the hotel and an embroidered motif of Timmy Tiptoes on the fluffy bathrobes".
