The Deal

Set in the picturesque village of Mereworth, Beeches Restaurant occupies an 18th-century inn and features exposed beams and exposed brickwork. Two Travelzoo subscribers are invited to spend a cosy winter evening at this Kent gastropub for a 6-course tasting menu and bubbly, for £24.50 each.

You will be among the first to dine on this brand-new menu, launched this month. Current dishes, which are sourced locally wherever possible, include

- Amuse bouche
- Confit free-range chicken ballotine
- Pan-fried Shetland scallops or carpaccio of beef fillet with balsamic glaze and dressed leaves
- South coast sea bream fillet with sautéed potatoes and chilli butter, or Roast Chart farm venison with dauphinoise potatoes, roast celeriac and juniper jus
- A selection of south eastern cheeses with spiced apple chutney and biscuits
- White chocolate mousse or peanut and salted caramel parfait
- Coffee and petits fours

Your meal will be accompanied by a glass of cava each.

The menu has been created by head chef Jon Baldock, who previously worked in the award-winning kitchen at Chilston Park Hotel, as well as Hotel du Vin & Bistro.
