The Deal

Escape to the boutique Marquis at Alkham in the heart of the Kent countryside with this offer, including dinner at the award-winning restaurant. Exclusively for Travelzoo subscribers, stay in a Superior Room (pictured), Cottage or Suite for £135, depending on availability upon check-in. Suites over this period usually cost up to £245 per night.

Available for Monday-Thursday stays until 31 May, the offer include a 4-course dinner from the Kentish Tasting Menu (worth £45 per person), continental breakfast and two complimentary cocktails.

We also have 100 Luxury Rooms available for £115 per night, including all the same extras.

The menu has been created by head chef Charlie Lakin, who began his career at the Michelin-starred Star Inn in Harome and has won a Michelin Rising Star since being at The Marquis' 2-AA-Rosette restaurant.

The 200-year-old building and former village pub is perfectly positioned for exploring Dover Castle and the White Cliffs, which are a 15-minute drive away. It recently underwent a £1.5 million renovation to restore its traditional features, including original brickwork, exposed beams and rich oak floors, and has been described by the AA Restaurant Guide as cutting "a contemporary dash amid the beautiful Kent Downs".
