Located in central Vienna, Das Triest was the city's first boutique hotel. A firm favourite with visiting musicians, past guests have included Whitney Houston, David Bowie, Lady Gaga and Robbie Williams. Recommended by Condé Nast Traveller and National Geographic, the property started life as a coach station on the route from Vienna to Trieste and was redesigned in 1996 by British designer Sir Terence Conran. It is only a 10-minute walk from St Stephen's Cathedral and has an on-site Italian restaurant that Condé Nast Traveller describes as "chic".
