The Deal

Located in the picturesque town of Harpenden, "The WinePress Restaurant combines period features with unstuffy modern British food," according to The Guardian. Two people can now dine on a 3-course meal with prosecco at this 18th-century, Grade II-listed manor for less than £20 each.

Worth up to £73.80, this offer saves up to £34.80 on the usual price.

After starting your experience with a glass of prosecco, choose a starter, main course and dessert from the à la carte menu. For example:

- Ham and chive mousse with poached baby asparagus, mixed vegetables and buttered brioche
- Smoked chicken salad with sweet shallots and crispy bacon
- Wild sea trout with potato galette and light fennel ragout
- 8oz Rump of beef with grilled tomatoes, chips and watercress salad
- Raspberry crème brûlée with vanilla shortbread or a selection of English cheeses

Previously a Georgian convent school, The WinePress Restaurant features an "impressive ceiling" (AA Hotel Guide), beautiful period features, and is about a 15-minute drive from St Albans town centre. It also has its own vineyard in California, and offers more than 40 wines and champagnes to complement the menu.

Lunch is served from 12pm-2pm and dinner from 6:30pm-9:30pm.
