The Small Print

This voucher is valid for two people and must be used in one visit. Each person is entitled to one glass of Berry Brothers sparkling wine, any starter, any main course and any dessert from the Travelzoo set menu, all of whose dishes feature on the current Christmas menu. Voucher may be used for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Friday until 24 May, 2012 (excluding 25, 31 December). Use of the voucher is subject to availability and advance reservation is required. Any additional items ordered will be charged at their usual value. Multiple vouchers may be purchased per person or as gifts. There is no limit to the number of vouchers that can be used per table. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Menu items and prices are subject to change based on seasonal and locally availability. Gratuity is not included.

The Deal

Nestled in the picturesque village of West Meon, The Thomas Lord is a multi award-winning gastropub that holds two prestigious AA Rosettes, and is recommended in all of the top culinary guides. The Independent also previously named it as one of the 50 best gastropubs in the UK.

For £35, enjoy three exquisite courses from the Travelzoo set menu, all of whose dishes feature on the current Christmas menu (that's just £17.50 each). With all items locally sourced, the menu changes regularly according to what ingredients are in season.

This gourmet experience includes:

- A glass of Berry Brothers sparkling wine
- Any two starters, such as smoked trout with cucumber pickle and watercress salad, or pan-fried rosary goats' cheese and potato terrine with pickled beetroot and walnuts
- Any two main courses, like red wine-braised Chalcroft Farm beef and bone marrow stew with tongue and watercress dumplings, or baked herb and cheese crusted hake fillet served with cauliflower purée, leek and potatoes
- Any two desserts, such as toffee apple and toasted oat crumble served with Thomas Lord custard, or lemon verbena panna cotta with rosemary sable biscuit

Alternatively, for the fabulous price of just £65, book a table for four people and get all of the above -- that's the equivalent of £16.25 each!

The Thomas Lord has been recognised for its commitment to using local produce from neighbouring farms, and received a Hampshire Hospitality Award 2011 for Superior Quality Assured and Local Produce. It was crowned Hampshire Country Pub of the Year 2008, and previously shortlisted by Country Life magazine for Country Pub of the Year.

Located 12 miles from the market town of Petersfield and is three miles from Winchester, this inviting public house dates back to 1830 and is named after the founder of Lord's Cricket Ground. It features original beams and open log fires, and is “a wonderful cosy place to enjoy a meal in the winter months”, according to the Hampshire Chronicle.
