The Deal

The Michelin Guide 2013 notes the "fresh, neat flavours" present in Sandbank Restaurant's dishes; and now Travelzoo subscribers can sample an exclusive 5-course tasting menu plus a glass of prosecco each for less than £25 a head at the Leigh-on-Sea venue.

The eatery has devised a new tasting menu exclusively for Travelzoo subscribers.

Similar tasting dinners have fetched around £75; this menu is a cracking £49:

- Guinea fowl, ham hock and walnut terrine with homemade piccalilli
- Smoked salmon and tiger prawn beignets with lobster and lemon
- Wild mushroom and tarragon soup topped by crispy sweet potato
- Mojito sorbet
- Fillet of beef wellington and peppercorn rosti in a red wine and thyme jus
- Milk chocolate and Baileys crème brûlée under a sugar caramel

You'll also get a glass of prosecco each at the start of your meal.

Sandbank Restaurant's food was described as "delicious" by The Echo, which hailed the experience as "a resounding success".
