The Small Print

This voucher is valid for two people and must be used in one visit. Each person is entitled to the following: a glass of prosecco and a 6-course tasting-menu. Voucher may be used for lunch or dinner Tuesday-Thursday, subject to availability, until 29 November. Any additional items ordered will be charged at their usual value. Multiple vouchers may be purchased per person or as gifts. There is no limit to the number of vouchers that may be used per table. Reservations are required. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Menu items are subject to change. Gratuity not included. Note: This is a limited offer and may sell out before the stated expiry time.

The Deal

Harrisons Restaurant scooped the title of Best Small Restaurant at the Essex Food and Drink Awards 2011, and had its cuisine rated as "the best in south Essex" by the reviewer for local newspaper, Echo.

Now, Travelzoo subscribers can sample an exclusive 6-course tasting-menu plus a glass of prosecco each for less than £25 a head at the Hockley venue.

Devised exclusively for Travelzoo subscribers, the menu includes:

- Chef's appetiser of the moment
- Pressed local shot game terrine with dressed leaves, croutes and homemade piccalilli
- Champagne and raspberry granita
- Pan-fried organic Tamworth Cross pork loin, roast belly, fondant potato, autumnal greens, caramelised apple and cider sauce
- Chef's selection of fine British cheese's with traditional accompaniments
- Rum and apricot bread and butter terrine with vanilla anglaise

Co-owners Ethan Rodgers and Sarah Hammond who bought the restaurant in 2009, believe in cooking fresh, simple food using the finest organic ingredients. After visiting, the Essex Food & Drink Guide 2011 said that the menu "revealed just how fresh and exciting food can be", while local paper Echo, praised Harrisons for "good honest food".

Located in the village of Hockley, Harrisons Restaurant is less than 30 minutes from Chelmsford, 15 minutes from Southend-on-Sea and a 7-minute walk from Hockley station.

This voucher is valid for lunch from 12pm-2pm and for dinner from 6pm-9:30pm Tuesday-Thursday, until 29 November.
