The Small Print

This voucher is valid for 18 holes of golf for two people, 25 balls each to use on the driving range, plus lunch for two with tea or coffee. Available for use on either the Duke or Earl course seven days a week (excluding bank holidays), with limited availability at peak times. Valid from now until 16 May, 2012. Advance booking is required. 72 hours' notice is required. Multiple vouchers may be purchased and can be used as gifts. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back. Lords Golf & Country Club does not permit denim of any kind on the golf course, in the bar or members' changing rooms. Proper golf shoes must be worn.

The Deal

Lords Golf & Country Club hosted a PGA East Anglian Open earlier this year, and now for £35, two Travelzoo subscribers can enjoy a round any day of the week, excluding bank holidays.

The deal for two people includes 18 holes of golf per person, plus 25 balls each at the driving range, and lunch, such as sausage and mash, served with tea or coffee. Normally £100, that's a saving of £65.

Set in 300 acres of Essex countryside just outside Rayleigh, the club underwent a makeover in 2007. And in 2010, it won in the Leisure and Tourism category at the Southend Business Awards.

Travelzoo subscribers can play on either of Lords' two courses, dependent on availability. That includes the members' course, the Duke, or the Earl. A series of lakes and open water encourages challenging and strategic play within a visually beautiful landscape on the Duke course, at 73 par. The Earl course is an executive-length course at 67 par. It's ideal for beginners, or those looking for a speedy and unencumbered round of golf.

Lords Golf & Country Club is 40 minutes east of London.
