£69 -- 5-Course Dinner for 2 at Award-Winning Brasserie

The Deal

Browns Brasserie is an award-winning, Michelin Guide 2013-listed eaterie in Tavistock. Travelzoo subscribers can now get a 5-course tasting dinner for two for £69 -- that's half the usual price.

The tasting menu is subject to change, but here's an idea of what you can expect:

- Mallard breast, leg and heart served with carrots, brioche and crab apples
- Roast scallop with celeriac and hazelnut purée
- Ox tongue and cheek served with turnips and watercress
- Tamar valley honey tart with Granny Smith sorbet
- Chocolate and malt mousse with cocoa and milk sorbet

The 4-star Browns Hotel, Brasserie and Wine Bar is located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, where Steven Spielberg's ''War Horse'' was filmed.

It was listed as one of the country's top eateries at the National Restaurant Awards in 2010, and was last year named Best Foodie Hotel in the South West at the Food Magazine Reader Awards.
