The Derbyshire Life reviewer raved about the "flawless and precisely executed" dishes served at the Rutland Arms Hotel. For £35 (instead of up to £72.70), two people can visit for a 2-course meal in The Square restaurant, with a glass of prosecco and a liqueur coffee each.

In full, each person gets:
-A glass of prosecco
-A starter such as steamed mussels in a white wine and cream sauce, served with a crusty baguette, or country-style venison paté with a toasted ciabatta and English chutney
-A main course such as roast Derbyshire lamb rump with dauphinoise potatoes, roasted beetroot and a red wine jus, or a grilled sea bass fillet, with crushed pea mash, a confit red pepper purée and lemon olive oil drizzle
-A liqueur coffee

This deal is valid Monday-Thursday until 15 April, 2013.

This 17th-century hotel was built on the site of the old White Horse Inn, said to be the birthplace of the Bakewell pudding.

Derbyshire Life describes the restaurant as "a beautiful and tastefully decorated room with rich toile de joie wallpaper, ornate glass chandeliers, stunning flower displays, antique furniture and paintings."
