£59 - 'Divine' Dinner & Bubbly for 2 Opposite Windsor Castle

The Deal

Fabulous magazine praised the "divine" food after its visit to the Mercure Windsor Castle Hotel's 18 Restaurant, while the AA Hotel Guide awarded it two of its prestigious Rosettes for the quality of cuisine. Now, you and a friend can dine on a 5-course tasting menu, plus a glass of bubbly each, for under £30 a head.

Usually £120 for two, this exclusive deal includes a taster menu such as the following per person (menu items are subject to change):

- Confit rabbit, ham hock and foie gras terrine with apricot purée and hazelnut oil
- Pan-fried sea bass with braised quinoa, tomato and cumin vinaigrette and fennel cress
- Raspberry sorbet
- Seared Barbary duck breast, confit leg, braised sweet potato and baby turnips
- Rhubarb and white chocolate parfait, with poached rhubarb crumble and strawberry consommé

You'll also get a glass of bubbly each on arrival, and the meal will be rounded off with coffee and petits fours.

Travelzoo has also negotiated an exclusive offer for larger parties -- four people can dine on all of the above for £109 instead of the usual £240, and it will cost a group of six £149 instead of £360 (that's less than £25 a head).

The hotel, a 16th-century former coaching inn, occupies a prime spot opposite the Royal Guildhall and Windsor Castle.
