The Deal

Spend a fun day with a friend at the Holiday Inn Reading, with use of the 4-star leisure facilities, followed by a 2-course lunch or afternoon tea with bubbly at the hotel's 2-AA-Rosette restaurant, all for £29.

Usually costing £61.10 for two, this package includes any two courses from the lunch menu; we'd opt for fillet of sea bass with crushed potatoes followed by passion fruit parfait.

For those with a sweet tooth, swap lunch for afternoon tea and sip on prosecco while sampling a selection of sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and homemade cakes. You'll also get your choice of tea to accompany the home-cooked treats.

This deal also includes access to the leisure facilities for the day, including a 19-metre swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room.

The modern and refubished 4-star hotel near the M4 is a 15-minute drive from Reading town centre, home to the The Oracle Shopping Centre and Broad Street Mall.
