Meeting Mr. Eyston after our afternoon tea. This is an excellent day out and I can recommend it most highly.

A delightful location, well staffed, interesting artefacts, scrumptious cream tea, restful river cruise, with a working water mill. What could be better?

The weather was lovely which helped the visit. We really enjoyed the riverboat trip. The captain was very funny and entertaining. The mill part was interesting and we purchased several items from the shop to bake ourselves. We sat in the garden and had our cream tea watching the falconry display which was amazing. We looked around the house last and then had a quick walk around the gardens.

There was no signage whatsoever as to where you boarded the boat from. We spent about 15 mins walking from one end of the site to the other twice looking for it. It was only when the boat appeared from the previous trip that we could work out where it was.

Everything went well from the boat ride to the tour around the house. Very well organised. Would like more visits like this.
