The Small Print

Subject to availability. Valid Sunday-Friday from until 28 February, 2013. Saturday nights are available for an extra £40 per room, payable directly to the hotel. Not available on 21, 24-26, 31 December; 14-15, 19-23, 28-29 January. The hotel has made more rooms available so we are able to reopen the sale.

The Deal

Fabulous magazine described its visit to the 4-star Mercure Windsor Castle as “a taste of how the other half live”. For £119 instead of the usual £236, Travelzoo subscribers can experience it for themselves, with a package that includes overnight accommodation and a gourmet dinner for two. In full you get:

-Overnight stay for two in a Classic Room in the main hotel
-3-course dinner for two from a seasonal choice menu in the 2-AA-Rosette 18 restaurant (worth £25 per person)
-Bottle of house wine on arrival (worth £17)
-Full English breakfast

Valid for Sunday-Friday stays from 18 November-28 February, 2013. Stay on Saturday nights for an extra £40 per room (buy the voucher as usual and pay the supplement to the hotel directly). Extend your stay for an extra £70 per night on a bed-and-breakfast basis -- 2-night breaks are £189 and 3-night breaks are £259 (both including daily breakfast and dinner on the first night).

The historic property started life as a 16th-century coaching inn and is one of the oldest hotels in Windsor. It is just a few minutes' walk from Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, and the Queen's weekend home.
Further afield, Wentworth Golf Club, Ascot Racecourse, LEGOLAND Windsor and Thorpe Park are all within easy reach. Windsor is a 20-minute drive from London Heathrow and around an hour by train from central London.
