The biggest hotel in the city, the 4-star Premier Queen underwent a £20 million refurbishment in 2008 and was named Chester and Cheshire Large Hotel of the Year by Visit Chester in 2010. It's next to the mainline railway station and five minutes from Chester Cathedral and the central shopping area. It has a secluded Italian terrace gardens as well as three restaurants, three bars, a fitness suite and table tennis.
The historic hotel has previously hosted Charles Dickens and Cecil Rhodes, founder of De Beers.
