The trip begins with three nights in Toronto, Canada's largest metropolis, and home to attractions such as the CN Tower and Royal Ontario Museum. Frommer's says "it's possible to drop in for a few days and 'do the town' without running yourself ragged". You'll stay at the 5-star Fairmont Royal York, which has been on numerous eco-awards lists and also named to Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List.
From Toronto, you'll take a VIA train to Quebec City, "the crown jewel of French Canada", according to Lonely Planet. There, you'll stay two nights at the award-winning 5-star Fairmont le Chateau Frontenac, whose rooms have views of the St Lawrence River or Old Quebec.
