Stay 30 minutes from Dublin, in 400 acres of countryside between the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea, with this package from the 5-star Druids Glen. Now £101 (119€) per person for a 2-night stay, the offer is 39% less than usual and includes:
This offer is based on two sharing and is valid for Sunday-Friday stays until 12 September. Additional nights are £75 per room, per night on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Two children under 14 can also stay for free.
Guests will receive an upgrade to the best-available room type, subject to availability.
The hotel is in Wicklow -- known as the Garden of Ireland because of its long sandy beaches, rivers, lakes, wooded glens and forests. It's a 30-minute drive from the Wicklow Mountains National Park, where parts of the film "Braveheart" were filmed, and is surrounded by picturesque villages.
Rooms have panoramic views of the mountains, the sea or one of the two golf courses, as well as satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, free DVD player hire and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The turndown service includes a mini room clean and complimentary chocolates and lavender left on the pillow.
Druids Glen has three dining options: the Druids Brasserie, which serves local Wicklow produce, The Thirteenth Bar, overlooking the golf course, and the 400-year-old Clubhouse. There's also a spa, which was commended in the Best Treatment category at the Irish Tatler Spa Awards 2012, and two championship golf courses -- the Druids Glen course has hosted the Irish Open four times and the Druids Heath course has hosted the Irish PGA Championship.
Not available on 10-14 July; 2-4 August.
