With a prime location in one of Rome's most upscale residential areas and sights such as the Spanish Steps within walking distance, the 5-star Aldrovandi Villa Borghese is the type of hotel that rarely offers discounts. Until now, that is -- stays at this luxury property, described as "intimate" and "achingly gorgeous" by Condé Nast Traveler, have been cut to £137 (169€) per room, per night, saving £74 on the regular rates.
Valid for stays until 27 February, 2013, this exclusive offer includes:
Condé Nast Traveler recognised the Aldrovandi Villa Borghese with a 2012 Gold List inclusion and 2011 Readers' Choice Awards. Chef Oliver Glowig won two Michelin stars in Capri before coming to Rome to open his eponymous restaurant at the hotel. Dishes at his gourmet establishment include marinated tuna belly with mustard poached pear sauce and ravioli filled with broccoli rabe, as well as cuttlefish with garlic, olive oil and chilli sauce.
A testing-menu dinner is available in Oliver Glowig restaurant for an additional £73 (90€) until 6 January, 2013 -- a saving of 30%. The restaurant is open Tuesday-Saturday, but closed from 7 January-27 February, 2013. The American Bar and The Grill are still open during this time.
A former convent and now a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, this 19th-century villa has a large private garden, a heated outdoor pool and fully equipped fitness room. A free shuttle to Via Veneto and the Spanish Steps is available.
Not available on 23, 27-28 November; 30-31 December.
