Where to Stay in Toulouse?
There are plenty of accommodation options to choose from in Toulouse, from cheap hotels and affordable options, to antique-filled, opulent townhouses. Many of these are concentrated in and around the city centre, and this is the most desirable area to stay. If you want to be at the heart of the action, choose a hotel on the magnificent Place du Capitole or in one of the surrounding medieval streets or attractive squares. This lively area is home to impressive architecture and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants.
If you have an early train to catch or are looking for a more affordable option, the area around the train station also has a wide choice of hotels. Toulouse has its fair share of chain hotels and a majority of these can be found on or near the banks of the Canal du Midi. These and other mid- to high-range hotels are popular with business travellers and can get busy, particularly during the week. There is a campsite to the north of the city.

Toulouse Hotel Recommendations?
For opulent surroundings right on the Place du Capitole, try the Grand Hôtel de l'Opéra. It couldn’t be more central and is situated in a converted 17th-century convent. The Crown Plaza is also on the Place du Capitole and has a pleasant internal courtyard.
For antique-filled rooms in an elegant Toulouse mansion, consider the Hotel Le Clos des Potiers.
Alternatively, for something more affordable, the Hôtel de France offers good value for money.
