Many visitors come to Paphos on package holidays, and although some of the cheapest hotel deals can be attained by booking well in advance, it is sometimes possible to find cheap last-minute hotel and holiday offers. 

There are two districts of Paphos: Ktima and Kato Paphos. Hillside Ktima (Upper Paphos) is the old quarter of Paphos and is situated approximately 3kms from Kato Paphos, which is the main tourist centre. For local shops and markets, museums and traditional architecture Ktima is the best bet. It is much quieter than Kato Paphos which is the choice for those seeking Paphos’s colourful nightlife. There is a wide choice of accommodation in Kato Paphos where there are also numerous tourist restaurants, bars, English-style pubs and nightspots. The harbour area and seafront are particularly popular with holidaymakers. Many of Paphos’s archaeological attractions, including exquisite Roman mosaics, are also nearby. 

There is accommodation to suit all budgets in Paphos, from basic apartments and hotels offering cheap deals, to more luxurious options. Much of the accommodation in Paphos has been designed with the package holiday market in mind and the summer months get very busy, so it is a good idea to book well in advance, especially if you are travelling in July or August. 

Paphos has a good choice of mid-range to high-end hotels with facilities such as swimming pools, air-conditioning, bars and restaurants. Also prevalent in Paphos are self-catering apartments. These can be a more economical option and are particularly popular with families. Most have small kitchens and the use of a swimming pool. For those wishing to sleep under the stars, there are a number of campsites in the region.

For five-star luxury with beautiful pools and a choice of restaurants and bars, try the Amathus Beach Hotel Paphos. Another truly opulent option is the Thalassa Boutique Hotel and Spa which offers sea views and a butler service for every superior suite.

A more affordable option is the centrally located Pyramos Hotel. If you are looking for self-catering options, the vast Kefalos Beach Tourist Village offers apartments and a range of facilities including a tennis court, mini golf, volley ball court and a children's play area. There is also an onsite mini-market.
