Where to Stay in Nantes?
There are hotels and guesthouses dotted around Nantes, but they do tend to be concentrated around the SNCF train station, the Quartier Graslin and the old town.
Stay in the medieval old town and you will be near historical sights such as the 15th-century Château des Ducs de Bretagne (Castle of the Dukes of Brittany) and Nantes Cathedral. There is also a decent selection of restaurants in the area. Hotels here tend to be high-end.
The area around Place Graslin has a good choice of accommodation. It is centrally located in an area full of shops and restaurants. There are also plenty of bars and nightspots in the vicinity.

Set in a grand 18th-century monastery just a few miles outside of Nantes, the Abbaye de Villeneuve is one of the most luxurious hotels in the area.
For a more affordable options right in the centre of town close to Place Graslin, try the Hotel Pommeraye. It has clean, modern rooms with Wi-Fi and televisions.
