It also offers a variety of places to stay to suit all budgets, from high-end luxury to more affordable hotels.
To be close to beautiful Renaissance buildings and historical sights including the cathedral and the Roman ruins, Vieux Lyon (Old Lyon) also has a good selection of luxurious hotels. The arrondisements, slightly outside the tourist hub offer a range of competitively priced accommodation.
Lyon is the third largest city in France and is an important financial hub. As such hotels get busy, particularly during the week and it is wise to book your accommodation well ahead to get the best deal. Some of the cheapest hotel deals can be found on weekends.
