There are places to stay all over Jersey, whether you want to be based on the coast, in town or the countryside. The island is divided into 12 parishes, each offering different attractions.

St Helier, the island's capital is one of the best places to stay for shopping and sightseeing. It is a bustling town with plenty of shops, restaurants and a colourful market selling fresh local produce. It is also home to some of the island's best museums and galleries.

If you want to be by the coast, consider the picturesque village of Gorey on the east coast of the island which is home to some excellent seafood restaurants. Alternatively, St Aubin in the parish of St Brelade is a good base for exploring some of the island's best beaches. St Brelade’s Bay, a beautiful sandy beach with seaside promenade and a good choice of restaurants is also a popular place to stay.

There is a vast array of different accommodation to choose from in Jersey. Some of the most affordable options are the island’s guesthouses, most of which offer bed and breakfast accommodation. Jersey also has some excellent hotels ranging from grand seaside hotels with elegant restaurants and magnificent sea views to trendy boutique hotels. 

There are also several campsites offering low-cost accommodation during the summer months. These offer a range of facilities and some are in idyllic rural locations. Self-catering options include cottage and apartment rentals. More unusual accommodation options include the chance to stay in a choice of Jersey's historic buildings including forts and towers.
