Where to Stay in Geneva?
For its proximity to historic attractions such as the St. Pierre Cathedral choose a hotel in Geneva's Old Town. The area is filled with lively cafés and boutiques. It is also a good area to choose of you want to be near the city's main shopping streets. There is a choice of hotels - especially mid-range to upmarket establishments - in the Old Town. Also on the south bank is the Jardin Anglais (English Garden) and the famous Flower Clock which is made from more than 6,000 flowers. On the north bank of Rhône are some of the city's fanciest waterfront hotels.

Transport in Geneva
Geneva International Airport is approximately three miles from the city centre. A direct train service takes around 6 minutes to the downtown railway station. There are also regular buses linking the city and it is possible to hire a car at the airport. From Geneva, the Swiss National Railroad system operates trains to destinations including Lausanne, Bern, Basel and Zurich. A TGV links Paris and Geneva.
